Michael S. Schell, CEO and President of RW3 LLC, leads the team with a wealth of relevant experiences, having pioneered the entire concept of integrated supported intercultural training and relocation.
He was CEO of Windham International, a global intercultural relocation consulting and management firm, which was founded in 1991 and acquired in June, 1999 by GMAC. Prior to creating Windham International, he was president and founding partner of Moran, Stahl, & Boyer (MS&B), a business location and global relocation consulting company. That firm was sold to Merrill Lynch Corporation in 1988.
Mike, co-author of Capitalizing on the Global Workforce: A Strategic Guide to Expatriate Management (McGraw-Hill, 1997), has written extensively on the subject of intercultural understanding, global management and international relocation, and has designed and conducted intercultural training programs around the world for expatriates, global managers and intercultural teams. He was a creator of the Windham International Cultural Model, which has become a standard for teaching and understanding cultures.
Windham International was a pioneer in global relocation and intercultural services, integrating all relevant expatriate management issues ranging from expatriate selection, compensation design and delivery, cross-cultural training, and relocation and assignment management. He is on the Board of Advisors for the International HR Journal. In addition, he is a frequent speaker at human resources and relocation industry conferences speaking on the cultural aspects of global business, intercultural team-building, and developing the corporate mindset. He has received the Meritorious Service Award of the Employee Relocation Council (ERC).
Mike is a member of the Institute of International Human Resources (IIHR) of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC), ERC, Society of International Education (SIETAR) and several other organizations.
