Michael Schell
Michael S. Schell is CEO of RW3 CultureWizard. Co-author (with Charlene Solomon) of Managing across Cultures: the Seven Keys to Doing Business with a Global Mindset (McGraw-Hill, 2009), he is creator of the Windham Intercultural Model and known for being a widely sought-after speaker.
Prior co-founding RW3 CultureWizard, he was CEO of Windham International, a global intercultural relocation consulting and management firm, which was founded in 1991 and acquired in June, 1999 by GMAC. Prior to that he was president and founding partner of Moran, Stahl, & Boyer (MS&B), a business location and global relocation consulting company. That firm was sold to Merrill Lynch Corporation in 1988.
Mike also co-authored Capitalizing on the Global Workforce: A Strategic Guide to Expatriate Management (McGraw-Hill, 1997), has written extensively on the subject of intercultural understanding, global management and international relocation, and has designed and conducted intercultural training programs around the world for expatriates, global managers and intercultural teams. His Windham International Cultural Model, has become a standard for teaching and understanding cultures.
Distinguished as a speaker, lecturer and pioneer in the field, he has twice received the Meritorious Service Award of the Employee Relocation Council (ERC). He is on the Board of Advisors for the International HR Journal.
Mike is a member of ASTD, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC), ERC, Society of International Education (SIETAR) and several other organizations.
